Today House of Tara is one of the leading makeup businesses in Africa. Chimamanda Adichie has written six books that have earned her an unquestionable reputation as one of the leading authors of our time. Not only is she a notable author, she has contributed immensely to the feminist movement, lending an African perspective to the movement. Nike Davies-Okundaye, went from a primary 6 dropout to teaching herself English, and opening one of the leading art centres in 1983, known as Nike Centre for Arts and Culture. today some of her major art works are on display in the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art in Washington DC, USA. Conversations 4 Change (C4C) has started a Young Female Mentorship Initiative. In line with this initiative, a blog post series on Young Women Empowerment will commence to help you kick-start the life you want to live now. The professional life you want to pursue and the home life you would like to start or balance successfully. The series will seek to provide tools for empowerment. It will discuss a number of topics ranging from economic empowerment - financial management, entrepreneurship, branding to self-development topics such as skills development, wellness to self protection topics such as sexual assault, domestic violence, mental health. These topics would help (we hope) to lead you to your purpose, to your ideal life. Please join in the discussions and do tell us what other areas you would like discussed.
